Premises Assistant – SEN School (Norwich Area)
Full-time | Term-Time | Immediate Start
Location: Just outside Norwich
Teach is currently recruiting a Premises Assistant to support the day-to-day running of a welcoming and well-resourced SEN school located just outside Norwich. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with practical skills and a proactive attitude to make a real difference in a school community.
About the Role:
You will be working as part of the site team to ensure the school environment is safe, secure, and well-maintained. Your responsibilities will include:
- General maintenance and minor repairs
- Setting up rooms and moving furniture as needed
- Health & safety checks and basic site inspections
- Opening/locking the premises (may involve split shifts)
- Assisting with grounds upkeep and cleanliness
About You:
- Previous experience in a similar caretaker or premises role is desirable
- A practical, can-do attitude and the ability to work independently
- Awareness of health and safety standards
- A DBS on the update service, or willing to apply for one via Teach
- Flexibility and a commitment to supporting children with special educational needs
