Teach is recruiting a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs in a friendly primary or secondary school in Lowestoft.
You will work alongside teachers and SENDCo to support the learning and development of pupils with a range of additional needs, including social, emotional, and learning difficulties. Your role will involve delivering personalised support, helping with classroom tasks, and encouraging pupils to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with class teachers and the SENDCo to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including social, emotional, and learning difficulties
- Deliver tailored support to help pupils access the curriculum and reach their full potential
- Assist with classroom activities, preparation, and behaviour management
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages confidence and independence
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families to support holistic development
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children with SEND (preferred but not essential)
- A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting learning
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
