A client that is a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) school are seeking to recruit an experienced secondary Food Technology teacher to work in their setting from the start of the upcoming academic year. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic educator with a passion for their subject and helping SEN students to achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated Food Technology lessons to students with a range of special education learning needs.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers, support staff, and specialists to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of SEN strategies and interventions.
